About the treatment

Prevention starts with regular care

A check-up is an opportunity to look carefully at your teeth, gums, bite and the soft tissues of your mouth. It is also time to discuss discomfort, sensitivity, changes you have noticed or anything you would like to improve.

Janina will explain her findings clearly and recommend only the care that is appropriate for you. X-rays may be advised when clinically necessary to examine areas that cannot be seen directly.

Suitability can only be confirmed after an examination and discussion of your oral health and goals.

What to expect

A clear, considered process

Your treatment is planned around your needs. The exact steps may vary following your clinical assessment.

1

Conversation

We begin with your dental history, general health, current concerns and what you would like from the visit.

2

Clinical examination

Your teeth, gums, bite and oral tissues are checked carefully. X-rays are taken only when clinically justified.

3

Clear next steps

You receive an explanation of the findings, preventive advice and, if needed, a written treatment plan.

Common questions

Things patients often ask

How often should I have a check-up?

The right interval varies. After assessing your oral health and risk factors, your dentist will recommend a suitable recall period rather than applying one schedule to everyone.

Will I need X-rays every time?

No. Dental X-rays are recommended only when clinically justified, taking account of your history, symptoms, risk and the time since previous images.

Is a professional clean included?

A check-up and professional cleaning are different services. If tartar, staining or gum care needs attention, the team will explain the most appropriate next step.

What should I mention at my visit?

Tell us about pain, sensitivity, bleeding gums, ulcers, jaw symptoms, medication changes, dental anxiety or any change that concerns you.

A small amount of prevention today can protect your smile for years to come.
